NCEA Leadership Summit:

Facilitated by: Bridget Gothberg and Pat Edwards  (invitation needed)

The purpose of the summit is to bring together the past, present and emerging NCEA leaders to analyze and provide recommendations for the continued viability and sustainability of our professional organization.
Summit leaders will:

o Expand our knowledge and understanding of the historical foundation upon which the National Community Education Association evolved, its relationship with the National Center for Community Education and the Mott Foundation;

o Analyze NCEA’s current internal and external operations;

o Examine ways in which to re-energize membership’s commitment, ownership and involvement in NCEA

We are collaborating a series of hands on workshops with  for Saturday and Sunday.  We are please to announce Suzanne Kart and Fred Bayley will be our presenters for these workshops.  Please see their bios for more information.

Suzanne Kart of Bay City, MI, is an writer, presenter and practitioner on marketing and eMarketing. Currently Director of Marketing for the Learning Resources Network (LERN), she is one of the nation’s leading experts on Twitter, social networks and generational communication for lifelong learning. She has more than five years experience at the local level doing marketing for continuing education classes. She does workshops around the country on marketing, eMarketing and generational communication.

Fred Bayley is a popular workshop presenter in continuing and community education. Currently a senior consultant with the Learning Resources Network (LERN), he trains hundreds of professionals in continuing and community education every year. Formerly head of a continuing education program in Spindale, North Carolina, he has more than 30 years of experience in the field. He also writes columns on leadership in lifelong learning, is in charge of LERN’s Certified Program Planner (CPP) training, and conducts workshops all over North America every year.
