Engage and Grow
Join NCEA and NCSCEA for an action packed and information filled weekend atTeddy Roosevelt's summer home! This engaging weekend will include sessions on leadership in community education,community engagement, community issues and concerns, membership building, marketing, developing and selling legislation, building advocacy, developing a vision for community education, and more!
Learn from the Best
Speakers include Dr. Marv Erhardt of the North Dakota Lead Center, a non-profit education organization devoted to helping to develop excellent leaders for their schools. The LEAD Center provides professional development programs and services to public and nonpublic school leaders and individuals preparing to become educational leaders.
Other speakers include Dr. Tom Hall of North Dakota State University, Kevin Koester of the Iowa Community Education Association, Jim Boswell of Bullitt County Adult and Community Education, Jay Acock of the Missouri Department of Education, Mike Looby of the Minnesota Community Education Association, as well as staff from NCEA’s national office such as Executive Director, Beth Robertson; Research and Legislative Manager, Robert Ek; and Membership and Marketing Coordinator, Kate Meier.
Network and Recreate
In addition to a lineup of fantastic speakers, there are also ample opportunities for recreation and networking in beautiful, historic Medora. Included in the evening festivities is a delicious social “pitchfork fondue” dinner followed by the local Medora Musical! And of course, there will be free time to enjoy other local Medora attractions. Who should attend?
Members and leaders in emerging and developing Community Education associations. NCSCEA, a committee of NCEA, exists to help build state Community Education associations. Learn how to develop your association, network, and strengthen the resources that you already have!
