seems as if summer has barely started and already fall is upon us! I hope you have had a chance to recharge and
are ready to hit the ground running!
A
great Summer Institute was held in St. Louis!
Hats off to Jay Acock and Steve Lehmann
for all their hard work in organizing the event. It was a great opportunity to
share ideas, interact with colleagues and to celebrate our growing field and to
ensure its continued success.
Participants began the Summer Institute with a dynamic presentation by
keynote speaker, Joe Herrity of the Iowa Department of Education. This exciting
keynote was followed by informative sessions on marketing and communications,
building your association, and leadership. Building strong partnerships with
our State Associations is a key strategic goal for NCEA. By standing together
we all make a difference in the world around us.
In
the ever changing world of Community Education, you can never stop learning. NCEA is right beside you as you grow and
develop your programs, resources, legislation, and more. You know that your
